Cafe Chair

The Cafe chair is made from solid ash and draws inspiration from companies such as Ishinomaki, Industrial facility and Artek. All of these companies have modern principles of modernism and functionality. However, they all have aspects of play in their designs by experimenting with forms. The chair draws on the customisability of Artek products. The chair has interchanging components, which can be tailored to the clients satisfaction. The design of the chair experiments with the conventional structure of a chair legs by having a leg at the front and back. It also has a playful geometry with both circular and rectangular parts. The chair also encourages interaction with its open profile, which allows the user to move about freely into positions which feel most comfortable to them.
