Cafe Chair

The Cafe chair is made from solid ash and draws inspiration from companies such as Ishinomaki, Industrial facility and Artek. The aim of the project was to create a cafe chair that encourages open conversation. The chair has interchanging components, which can be tailored to the clients satisfaction. The design experiments with the conventional structure of chair legs by having a leg at the front and back. It also has a playful geometry with both circular and rectangular parts. The chair encourages interaction with its open profile, which allows the user to move about freely into positions which feel most comfortable to them.
