Allermuir Internship

My time at Allermuir was an amazing insight into how design works in the real world. Through trips to the factories, discussions with the sales team, designers and studying first hand the products that Allermuir sell. I was given many opportunities to collaborate with the team and work independently on design briefs. The project I felt most proud of was a brief titled ‘Simple Expression’. It challenged me to to explore sheet material in its most elemental form to make a refined but minimal product. I was able to see the project at every stage of the design process, from my initial sketches to CAD modelling, full scale card modelling and 3D printing. I wanted to use this page to tell a story of my time at Allermuir through the photos I took during my time with them.
